Main Distribution Boards (MDB) Overview:
Main Distribution Boards (MDB) by Basiia Contracting are a panel or enclosure that houses the fuses, circuit breakers and ground leakage protection units where the electrical energy is used to distribute electrical power to numerous individual circuits or consumer points is taken in from the transformer or an upstream panel. It typically has a single or multiple incoming power source and includes main circuit breakers, residual current or earth leakage protection devices. It is comprised of a free-standing enclosure, a bus bar system, MCCB’s, metering, supporting equipments and appropriate current transformers.
Panels are then assembled in a systematic manner such as incoming and outgoing section. Our main distribution boards are used to distribute and control the power supply in large buildings such as shopping malls, hospitals, universities, Factories, and hotels.
The main distribution boards are generally installed after the main power source (eg. transformers or generators) and used to divide the power feed into subsidiary outgoing feeders. ATS function can be added as per customer requirements which can automatically transfers the power supply from its primary source to a backup source when it senses a failure or outage in the primary source. Our Distribution boards make an essential part of any circuitry in your homes, offices or any other place. They serve an important purpose and cannot be ignored at any cost. One of the most important devices, they make sure that the current is properly distributed to all the devices allowing proper functioning. This also makes sure that none of the devices suffer from the effects of over currents or short circuits.
